Sean Aiken : my book will be published in Spring 2009

By mr

I created OneWeekJob.com, in which any company or individual anywhere in the world can offer me a job for one week. The job can be absolutely anything, anywhere. Any proceeds that the individual or company is willing to pay me for my week of work is donated by my employer to The Make Poverty History campaign dedicated to eliminating global poverty (total donations raised : $ 20,400).

My goal ? To gain a better understanding of where my passions lie and inspire others in my generation to go after their passions.

In fact I had a sponsor who helped out with travel expenses (www.beljob.ca, www.nicejob.ca). Also, I stayed at my employers houses each week which helped keep my costs low.

Now I will be writing a book about my experience and all that I learned over the past year making the transition from school into the professional world. It will be published in Spring 2009, currently only in the US by Random House and in Canada by Penguin Books. We are also working on the documentary and are going to be pitching the reality show.

I am not the one to go after my dreams. My friend Kyle traded a paperclip for a house, and then he wrote a book about it ! It was published in France just last week…
